Flying Tiger Copenhagen did not begin as a design-led retail brand. The brand’s origins lie in offering simple, affordable everyday products with a strong focus on accessibility and value. As the business grew and expanded internationally, the need for a clearer product identity and stronger differentiation became increasingly important. Over time, design evolved from being a supporting function to becoming a strategic capability. In 2006, the first in-house designer was hired. Today, product design is developed in-house in Copenhagen, guided by clear principles of functionality, simplicity and affordability – shaped to work across markets, categories and cultures.
Everything starts right here in our Copenhagen office. Every product begins as a sketch, brought to life by designers who care.
