Choose classic baubles, ribbon and tree toppers for a fast refresh. Add garlands and window stickers to frame doorways and panes. Tealight holders and string lights give a soft side glow that reads clearly in pictures. Small figurines and table accents help carry the theme across bookcases, mantels and trays without stealing space from plates or glasses.
Keep the plan simple. Group decorations by one or two colours, then balance pattern with a few plain pieces. Place low centrepieces so everyone can see across the table. Run lights around shelves rather than across walkways, and leave room for serving. Little and often refills keep scenes neat and make tidying faster later.
