Four times a year, Flying Tiger Copenhagen raises money for Børnecancerfonden in all of our stores across Denmark.

Help us fight childhood cancer

Children and cancer are two words that are incompatible, and Børnecancerfonden works tirelessly to ensure that all children with cancer can survive and lead lives free of significant long-term effects.

Founded in 1995, Børnecancerfonden has dedicated itself to supporting children with cancer in Denmark. The organisation focuses on three key areas: research into childhood cancer, support for affected families, and dissemination of information about childhood cancer. The foundation supports research through four professorships and various research projects on childhood cancer. It aids affected families by providing grants for care, national programmes for young people with cancer, stays in holiday homes, and psychological support. Information about childhood cancer is provided in collaboration with the four childhood cancer departments, developing materials on topics such as childhood cancers, treatments, and diets.

Børnecancerfonden is an independent organisation entirely reliant on external donations. Therefore, we at Flying Tiger Copenhagen are extremely grateful that we, along with our wonderful customers, can make a significant difference. In 2023, we collectively raised over 1.8 million DKK for Børnecancerfonden, which was allocated to the foundation's RESPECT and STAGING projects, among other initiatives. During the four years of our collaboration with Børnecancerfonden, we have collected a total of more than 4 million DKK. Together, we can make a difference for children with cancer!

What do we do at Flying Tiger Copenhagen?

In addition to our fundraisers, we have also undertaken a number of additional initiatives:

  • We have selected products where a part of the profit goes directly to Børnecancerfonden.

  • Every time we have a Superhero Store Run (empty the store in 60 seconds), we match the value of the customer's goods and donate that amount to Børnecancerfonden.

  • We regularly donate goods to the Børnecancerfonden for their work in Danish hospitals.

  • Flying Tiger Copenhagen has established similar partnerships with organisations across the Nordic region.

  • Over the years, we have also donated to and sponsored national fundraisers and local events throughout the Nordics — all in support of local organisations.
