Set an inviting table with a narrow runner, cloth or paper napkins, sturdy paper settings if needed, small vases and tealight holders placed at the edges. Choose blush, red or rose with a soft neutral so plates and glasses remain the focus. The aim is conversation, not juggling tall centrepieces.
Begin with the runner to anchor the scene, then add place settings. Echo your colour in napkins and one tiny decoration per plate—a tag, a ribbon or a heart-shaped card. Keep lighting low and to the sides for flattering glow that does not compete with dishes.
