  1. 1. Begin by unwrapping your air-dry clay. Knead it gently to make it pliable and easy to work with.

2. Place the clay on your wooden board and use a rolling pin or a glass bottle to roll it out to about 1/4 inch thickness. Make sure it's even and smooth.

  1. 3. Cut out the perfect lemon shape, use a craft knife or another sharp tool to cut out a lemon shape from the rolled-out clay. You can either freehand this or use a template for precision.

4. With the leftover clay, cut out small leaf shapes to add extra detail to your lemon candle holder.

5. Gently lift the clay lemon from the board. Use your fingers to slightly curve the edges upwards.

6. This adds a natural, three-dimensional look to your creation. Ensure the shape holds well by smoothing any rough spots and pressing firmly but gently.

7. Attach the leaves to the sides of the lemon shape. Press gently to ensure they stick.

8. Bring Your Lemon to Life with Colour. Once your clay is dry, it’s time to bring it to life with some colour! Start by painting the lemon a bright yellow. Use a smaller brush to add details and textures to make it look realistic.
