In Denmark, they welcome Easter and springtime with a whimsical snowdrop letter. The Easter card, typically made by children, is a blank sheet of paper that has been cut into an elaborate shape. The letter has a snowdrop flower (a sign of early spring) and a little poem inside.
The letter is signed anonymously with one dot for each letter that spells your name. Now it’s up to the recipient to guess your little game. If by Easter Day the recipient has guessed your name, you owe that special someone an Easter egg, oh what a shame!
We’ve created a couple of templates you can print and cut after. They range from easy to difficult. Maybe start with the easy one and see how it goes…
If you’re a free spirit and don’t like to play by the rules, take a piece of paper and fold it twice. Then grab a pair of scissors and cut shapes and angles into the paper.
When you unfold the paper again, you’ll see a beautiful pattern!
Are you sure that we can’t talk you into giving one of our paper cutting templates a try?

You’ll need some used toilet paper rolls, left-over yarn, thread, coloured markers, a glue stick – whatever you have close at hand. We promise you that soon the kids’ imaginations will be running wild. It is also a great way to kick-start a conversation about their imaginary animal …
